We are proud to announce that AIROB has acquired a new project about upper-limb prosthetics called DexterHand.

DexterHand is about creating a new generation of upper-limb prostheses endowed with fine intent detection for simultaneous and proportional control, and somato-sensory feedback for proper human-in-the-loop tactile feed-back.

The project is a three-years international joint effort with the IIT Institute for Rehab Technologies (Matteo Laffranchi and Nicolò Boccardo), the Neurorehabilitaion Systems Group of the University of Aalborg (Strahinja Dosen) and the INAIL Prosthetics Research Centre (Emanuele Gruppioni). Hannah will be the AIROB responsible person for the project.
